I can’t believe it is already November! Soon enough it will be Christmas and then another year will have gone by.

It’s now time for the October traffic report for The Traveling Gals and AEE Marketing. I also added another blog, Disney World Details, so this will be the benchmark month for this blog.

September 2017 Traffic Report


I have decided to start doing traffic reports for my two websites (this one and The Traveling Gals). I am doing this to create more accountability for myself, to share tips on what worked and didn’t work, and give more of an insight into some of the work I do!

Growing a blog/website and social media accounts is definitely more of a marathon than a sprint, which can get frustrating. Hopefully this will give some guidance, but I’m mostly doing this to keep myself focused and on track!

This first report is going to be about September 2017 traffic and social media. This will be the baseline going forward for growing the sites and social media accounts. (Or at least the intent is to grow them!)

FYI: The goals for these two sites are different, which is why I have more detailed metrics for The Traveling Gals.

Use Blog Posts To Keep Your Website Fresh


Today we are going to talk about using blog posts to keep your website fresh and updated. Your website should already have some great static pages so when people visit they know exactly who you are and what you offer. In addition to these static pages, you should also consider writing some blog posts. This is a form of content marketing, which is a great way to market your business.

Content marketing is sharing something (or content) of value with your customers. This can be blog posts, videos, infographics, pictures, or whatever else you may want to share. It establishes you as an authority in your field and builds a relationship with potential customers before they even buy anything. Some people may not be completely sold on your product or service just by your website, but some interesting blog posts might stand out more.

Why Is Social Media Important For Your Business?


Social media is now seen as a necessity for marketing your business, but it can be overwhelming for small businesses to figure out the best way to utilize social media. You might not understand how to use the various social media sites or which ones make the most sense for your business. Or you might know how to use them, but not have the time to devote to creating and posting content on a regular basis.

You might also think that social media is a waste of time and not necessary. This is not a good way to think because there are so many people who use sites, like Facebook, on a daily basis. It is such an easy and affordable way to keep your business in front of their faces, whether it be on their cell phones, tablets, or computers.
